We travel extensively in able to capture with our lens the unique places of history. We are especially drawn to the locations of ancient civilizations; fascinated by a past that is only now being rediscovered today. So many of these locations are being lost to time, pollution and the encroachment of modern life that we are striving to preserve as many as we are able in the time that we have so that they will not fade away into the forgotten past only to be remembered as myth and legend. We don't believe in labels what we do is ART and we approach each image as a unique and wonderful beginning and give it the extra artistic magic we feel it needs to make it a truly unique piece of artwork. It is in this way we create our magically artistic visions of the way WE see these locations, as artists, not just the bland reality we find ourselves standing in.
We only use our own photos to create our artwork, no stock photos
are involved. We spend numerous hours creating exceptional pieces
of art from these photos. We utilize Drawing, Painting, Digital
Photographic Processes, Pastels, Pigments, Acrylic Paint, Watercolors,
India Inks, Collage, and Decoupage along with cutting, stacking,
tearing and multi layering of different portions of each image
to bring out its inherent splendor. We use an Epson 7800 Professional
Pigment Printer with Epson Ultra Chrome K3 Pigments to print our
finished artwork on a combination of different surfaces including,
Arches 100% Cotton Rag Acid Free Textured Fine Art Paper , Epson
Premiere Fine Art Water Resistant Canvas, Epson Fine Art Photo
papers and even stone. The paper and pigments we use have been
rated at 100+ years if treated with care. We endeavor to the best
of our knowledge and ability to use only archival and acid free
materials in our artwork. For mounting, matting and displaying
of our multi dimensional art pieces we utilize the Bainbridge
Museum Quality Alphamat Archival Art care System. With each of
our multi dimensional pieces we provide for you a Certificate
of Authenticity and last but not least each piece also has a written
travelogue, poem or story about our journey that accompanies them
so that the collector can carry home with them an in-depth feeling
of what we were experiencing as we explored each breathtaking
setting.
We work together as a team in everything we do to create our artwork.
We travel together; photograph the scenes together, in the studio
we work on the same type pieces giving the other help, direction,
suggestions and at times we each even work on different portions
of a piece enabling us to each bestow upon it our expertise in
that area. Our artwork truly is a joint venture and as co-artists
we feel it is only as a team that can we create the artwork that
we do.
